We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving and break from
school.
When we return to school on November 30th we will spend the next three weeks
learning about our great State of New Mexico. Some of the things we will be
doing in committeess are reading the Day It Snowed Tortillas, making a Navajo
rug, creating tin art, assembling an adobe house, learning about the
tradition of faralitos, researching facts about our state and government,
sand painting and experiencing traditional New Mexican food. This should keep
us busy until our Winter Break.
The Monte Vista Mercado is on Saturday, December 5th. Our class will be
selling tin ornaments. The students will make these next week in class to
sell at Mercado. We need your help as a volunteer to sell the ornaments at
our table during Mercado. Our table will be open from 9:00 to 12:00 or until
we sell out. We have three one hour shifts from 9 to 10, 10 to 11 and 11 to
12. Our table will be in the hallway close to the glass cases in the front
entryway. Look for sign up forms coming home on November 24th.
We look forward to seeing you at Parent/Teacher conferences held on December
3rd and 4th.
