Postcard Exchange

For the fourth year my class will be participating in a Fifty State Postcard Exchange. My students in the past have really enjoyed this activity. We receive postcards from one teacher in each state. They write information about their states, cities, and schools. My class reads these and then we find the state and city they live in on our class map. We then send a New Mexico postcard to each state with information about our state.

We received our first postcard for 2008. It was from North Dakota.

In the past few weeks we have received postcards from: Kansas, New York, West Virginia, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Florida, Maryland, and Minnesota.

Last week and this week we received postcards from Michigan, Ohio, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Texas, and Vermont.

In the last two weeks we have received postcards from Utah, Maine, Hawaii, Kentucky, and Colorado.

This week we received postcards from Georgia, Illinois, Alabama, and Alaska.

In the past two weeks we have received postcards from Rhode Island, Wyoming, and California.

Last week and the week before we received postcards from Washington, Arkansas, and North Carolina.

This week we received postcards from Arizona and Indiana.

Recently we have received postcards from Oklahoma, Idaho, and Iowa.

We received a postcard from Mississippi recently.
