About The Teacher Label:


About The Teacher
This is my 5th year at VHS, and it has been the best one yet, by far. My students this year flat-out rock! I have a B.A. in Communications with a minor in English from California State University at Fullerton, and my Teaching Certification is from the University of New Mexico. This past summer I completed my professional dossier for the state, so I am now a Level 2 Teacher in the NM system. Before entering the field of Education I worked as a radio dj, in the restaurant business, and as a manager in the overnight express industry. I've lived in New Mexico for the last 17 years, Albuquerque for the last 13. I'm from Southern California (Pasadena/Fullerton), but have also lived in Vermont, Maryland, and Seattle, Wa. as well as Oakland, Palo Alto, and Mammoth Lakes in California. In my scarce free time you can usually find me with my nose in a book. I use my Film Criticism classes as justification for watching a lot of movies, too.
