This is Mr. Sanchez's third year teaching math at Valley High School and his
11th year of teaching math and science.
Mr. Sanchez recieved a Master of Arts degree in education, with emphasis in
mathematics, a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a chemistry
minor, from the University of New Mexico and an Associate of Applied Science
degree in programming languages.
In addition, Mr. Sanchez has held three fellowships with the Yale-New Haven
and Albuquerque Teachers Institute; has published 3 curriculum units; was a
member of the University of New Mexico Mathematics Academy for two years;
attended the Coalition of Essential Schools Forum in Washington D.C.;
Participated in the development of the Math in Context program in Madison,
Wisconsin; attended NMSA conferences in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta; and
holds New Mexico Level III Licensure.
Our purpose is to demonstrate that we have learned the math concepts
outlined in the math standards.
Our desire is to discover how these concepts are present in every area of
life.
Our mission is to use our understanding of them to enrich our lives with
success.
