Final Exams

This years final exams will be held the week of May 28-June 1.  The exam 
schedule is on the calendar section of this website.  All exams begin 
promptly at 9:00 each morning, with students having 2.5 hrs. to complete each 
exam.  All students are required to stay in their examination room until 
11:00 am.  If they have their exam completed by 11:00 they may leave and go 
home, with the exception of Wednesday, May 30 when Grade 7 and Grade 8 
students will write their Geography exam beginning at 12:30 pm.  All 
examinations must be passed in by 11:30 am with the exception of the 
Geography exam which must be passed in by 3:00 pm.  Students who do not go 
home in the afternoons will have study hall each day to prepare for the next 
days exam.  Students who are going home should be picked up at 11:30 am.

Junior High Exams – Things to Remember

•Students must be in FULL DRESS UNIFORM for each of their exams.  This 
includes blazers and ties.
•Exams will begin promptly at the scheduled start time – 9:00 am for morning 
exams and 12:30 pm for afternoon exams.
•Students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the exam – 
no later than 8:45 am for a morning exam or 12:15 pm for an afternoon exam.
•Students should report directly to their examination room upon arrival at 
school.
•Students are required to stay in the exam room for the duration of the 2 
hour exam period.  If they have completed and checked over their exam they 
are permitted to leave at the 2 hour mark.  However, if more time is needed, 
an extra 30 minutes of grace time is permitted.
•No student should leave the examination room prior to the 2 hour mark.
•Students are permitted to leave school after the examination period is 
complete, but should not be picked up prior to 11:00 for morning exams, or 
prior to 2:30 for afternoon exams.

End of the Year Trips

The Grade 7 overnight trip to Pictou County will be Tuesday, June 5, 
returning Wednesday, June 6 for regular dismissal.  The Grade 8 class will 
then travel to Bayside Camp leaving Thursday, June 7 at 8:00 am and 
returning Friday, June 8 for regular dismissal.  The Grade 9 trip to Quebec 
is Thursday, June 7 to Monday, June 11.
