About The Teacher
I was born in Germany, but lived in California most of my life. I graduated from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA, with a degree in Creative Arts for Teaching. I was a substitute teacher for 3 years before I received my credential in Elementary Education. On the day that I graduated, I also was offered my first teaching position. I taught for two years in California (2nd and 3rd grade) before my wife and I moved to Las Vegas. Forbuss Elementary is my first school in Las Vegas, and I taught 3rd grade for two years. This is my first year teaching fifth grade and I am very excited! There are many great things to do this year, and it will be a great experience for all. This year I am also completing my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and participating in the CCSD Leadership Program. I can be reached by e-mail at khuffman@interact.ccsd.net.
