This will be Mrs. Peterson's second year with the Rush City School District.
She got married last September and is getting ready to celebrate her first
wedding anniversary. Mrs. Peterson graduated from Bethel University in
2006. She worked as a substitute teacher for a year. After that, she moved
to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was an elementary school computer teacher for
two years and a fourth-grade teacher for one. She came back home to the
midwest in 2010 and got a job teaching third grade in Chippewa Falls. When
she got engaged in February of 2011, she began looking for a job closer to
her home city of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, and Rush City turned out to be it.
Mrs. Peterson very much enjoys teaching in Rush City and is happy to be back
this year!

Mrs. Peterson's dad is the pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Grantsburg,
Wisconsin, and her mom works with students with special needs at Grantsburg
Elementary School. She has two sisters. Vanessa and her husband Ryan live
in Chicago, Illinois, and Melissa is a personal trainer and works at a YMCA
in the Minneapolis area. Mrs. Peterson's husband works at a body shop in
Osceola and also has his own shop at their home in Trade River. Mrs.
Peterson's parents have two dogs, and Mrs. Peterson and her husband have a
golden lab mix named Liddie, and outdoor cat named Tiger, and two outdoor
kitties named Shadow and Peanut.
