Karl Byrd has been at K.O. Knudson since 1997.
I have taught both U.S. History and Geography classes as well as accelerated
U.S. History. I received my B.A. from York College and an M.A. from Brooklyn
College in New York City. In 2008 I received an advanced studies
certification in teacher leadership from Southern Utah University.
This is a one-year course focusing on the study of American history from the
time of the early North American inhabitants to the present. Students will
be introduced to the people and events that contributed to the development of
our nation as they explore the impact of economic, political, social, and
technological ideas. The history of Nevada will be integrated throughout the
year. This is a required course for all seventh grade students.
