The mission of the NWCTA is to boldly educate today's learners for
tomorrow's challenges by developing advanced skills through unique hands-on
experiences in a professional setting, utilizing community partnerships,
innovative ideas, and contemporary technologies.

NWCTA is about to begin year five. We are excited to announce that NWCTA has
been nationally recognized as one of ten magnet schools of distinction for
the last two years. As the science department chair I am extremely proud
of our students success during science proficiency testing required for
graduation. The science proficiency has been given to our NWCTA students three
years in a row. The first year results showed all students overall grading at
a 73% for 2007-2008. The results for this year has expanded to an overall
grading of 84% for 2008-2009. The testing increased its level of difficulty
as of the 2010-2011 year and our test scores increased as well to an overall
87%. I would like to thank my science team for all their hard work and effot
in helping students to achieve at such high academic standards.
