**ACADEMIC PROBATION POLICY REVISED**
Effective immediately, the academic probation policy for NWCTA students has been revised. It is as
follows:
"The NWCTA Academic Probation Committee and NWCTA Leadership Team reviewed the NWCTA
Academic Probation Policy during the September Meeting. The Academic Probation Policy was revised
as follows. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to attend NWCTA. Students with a
cumulative GPA less than 2.0 will be placed on academic probation at the end of the semester. The
revision to the NWCTA academic Probation Policy is intended to encourage student participation and
success in academics at a challenging level."
**EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS!!!**
With the heightened sense of caution this winter regarding flu season, I have
offered extra credit to any student if they bring in and show me their own bottle of hand-sanitizer for
personal use. Our goal is to keep students as healthy as possible and to cut down on the number of
absences this flu season.

A note on Electronic Devices...
So long as your electronic devices i.e. smartphones, laptop computers, i-Pod Touch, are being used in
an INSTRUCTIONAL MANNER, they may be used in THIS CLASS. All other teachers will be establishing
their own policies. If they are misused (texting or using your web browser inappropriately) their use will
be revoked for ALL STUDENTS.
