1. Go over study guide and your notes in preparation for the quiz next class

Wednesday/Thursday, 9-2/9-3, 2009
1. Begin brainstorming ideas for an informative speech topic. We will soon be
in the computer lab to begin working on your speeches.
2. The requirements are...
-Must have a visual aid i.e. powerpoint, poster, etc.
-3-4 minutes long
-Be sure to INFORM us...not PERSUADE us.

1. Students worked on and presented their informative speeches.
September 21st, 2009 (Period 5)
1. Continue working on and studying your study guide and notes for chapter 2
quiz
2. Email me on INTERACT your username and period number!
October 14th/15th
1. Students read chapter 10 in class and completed study guides.
2. Period 6 will begin giving persuasive speeches on Monday
3. Period 5 will continue giving persuasive speeches on Friday.
November 2nd/3rd, 2009
1. We will be finishing up the second powerpoint on persuasive speaking --
Problem-Solution speech patterns. I hope you took notes on this!!
2. We will start the next series of notes on Logical Fallacies in public
speaking, and how to avoid them.
3. complete the worksheet for next class.
4. Start thinking of possible topics for your speeches!! They MUST be in
Problem-Solution format!
5. I have posted both powerpoints (2nd persuasive and Logical Fallacies) on
the website.
6. I have also uploaded the worksheet to the website.
