Snack Time

Since our class eats such a late lunch, about 12:40, we are going to eat a small
snack at about 10:15 each morning. Students may start bringing in their own
snack the first week of school.

Please adhere to the following guidelines for the snack.

1. The snack should be nutritious – no chips or candy please.
2. The snack should be neat, easy, and quick to eat – nothing that requires
a utensil of any kind. Please bring an extra napkin for crumbs.
3. No drinks – students may have a water bottle or get a drink from a
drinking fountain – other beverages should be saved for lunch.
4. Here is a suggested list of appropriate snack items – box of raisins, an
apple, grapes, granola bar, fruit or breakfast bar, fruit roll-up, cracker
sandwiches with cheese or peanut butter, crackers, gold fish crackers, dry
cereal, and nuts.

This is voluntary and not all students may desire a snack. Students will
get into a quiet routine of eating their snack while still working on their
daily assignments. Sometimes I may bring in a surprise treat. Please let me
know of any food allergies or nutritional concerns asap. Thank you for your
cooperation.
