For the 2008-2009 school year, a make up class will be held after school one
day a week. This class will begin the first week of October. Each week an
announcement will be made in class to let students know ahead of time what
day will be used for the make up session so students can make arrangements
to come. The session is held on various days of the week to make the session
availble to students who have difficulty coming on one particular day and to
allow for weather and/or school calendar variables.
The sign up sheet is on the door of Mrs. Moore's office, room 1235. Students
must be signed up by 1:30 pm on the day of the make up class. Mrs. Moore
will meet her students at 2:20 pm in front of her office to go to the
activity location. Students must be prepared in activity clothes and are not
to be late. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate.
The make up activity will be held outside. During the winter, the activity
may/may not be outside. Students should be dressed properly for the weather
and for the activity which usually is running,jogging and/or walking the
track for four laps. The afternoon make up is held on the scheduled day rain
or shine from 2:20 pm to 2:45/2:50 pm.
Please remember:
1)students may only make up legal misses/absences from class.
2)Mrs. Moore's students may only make up a class with Mrs. Moore.
3)students who have other teachers for Physical Education may not attend
Mrs. Moore's make up class.
Students who cannot come to the afternoon make up session due to afternoon
BOCES or other extenuating circumstances may come to a morning make up
session instead. The morning make up session is by appointment only and the
individual student must see Mrs. Moore ahead of time to find out what day is
mutually suitable for the make up session. The morning of the make up the
student must meet Mrs. Moore in front of room 1235 at 6:55 am, dressed in
activity clothes and ready to participate. The morning make up class will be
dismissed at approximately 7:20 am.
If a student has received approval from Mrs. Moore to do written make up
work, some of the make up work may be obtained from this web site by going
to the handouts page. Written work or credit for physical therapy sessions
is allowed only for extended medical issues. A student must submit the
proper verification to both the health office and to Mrs. Moore to be
allowed to do written make up work for class credit.
