                 Arthur S. May Elementary School Chess Club
                                 Fall Schedule 2009

	*The chess club is currently available to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students 
with future plans to include the K-2nd students. Registration forms and 
schedules are available from Mr. Whalen as of Wednesday, January 6th or by 
visiting the Photos/Docs link on Mr. Whalen's Web Page. Admission to the chess club is on 
a "first come, first served" basis. 
  
	All meetings will be held Tuesday mornings from 7:20-8:20 in the gymnasium.

*Election Day   Tuesday, November 3rd     *No Chess Club Meeting   
5th Meeting     Tuesday, November 10th
6th Meeting     Tuesday, November 17th
7th Meeting     Tuesday, November 24th    **Final meeting**

Prompt and consistent attendance is expected and required. Due to the early 
morning start time, all participants are encouraged, if necessary, to bring 
breakfast. It is not an uncommon sight to see a student with a chess piece in 
one hand and a bagel in the other!!! 

Please note that in the event of a school snow delay or cancellation, chess 
club activities will be cancelled for that day as well.
