This week we will be working on our final unit: Understanding News & Media Nonfiction.
This week, we worked on news and media articles, and learned about the origins of Hollywood and saw
some old newsreels from the 1930s. We learned about the great Hindenburg disaster, and saw and
read a feature on Walt Disney and the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Friday: Students should write a paragraph with an evidence based claim statement describing why Walt
Disney was a great pioneer in the movie industry, and use support from the article. (Begun in class,
finish at home.)
