Mrs. Bryant is a graduate of CW Post/Long Island University, with an
undergraduate degree in Radio & Television Broadcasting/Communication Arts.
She also holds a Master's Degree in Education from Iona College. Prior to
teaching, Mrs. Bryant worked as a supervisor in a satellite data engineering
division of the ABC Radio News network. She is also a freelance writer and
her work has been published in many magazines and the Poughkeepsie Journal.
She also writes for young people and is a member of the Sociey of Children's
Book Writers and Illustrators. Her play, The Ransom of Miss Elverna Dower,
which premiered at LMS, will be published by Pioneer Drama in the fall of
2009 and is the winner of the Shubert Fendrich Memorial Playwriting Award
for 2009.
Mrs. Bryant co-advises the school newspaper and Young Playwrights Club, and
co-directs the school's drama productions. Feel free to ask about any of
these activities.
In addition to teaching at LMS, Mrs. Bryant is also an adjunct instructor of
English at SUNY/Dutchess Community College. In her 'spare' time, she coaches
softball and helps produce her family's public access comedy television
program, "The Cuddles Show," for Cablevision.
