Jump Rope for Heart is a fund-raising program for the American Heart Association where students participate in various jump rope activities to raise money and awareness for finding a cure for heart disease and stroke. Overlook has participated in this program for the last 13 years and we look forward to doing our part each and every year to help the AHA. Last year's event was held after school on Friday, February 27, 2009.
We had 52 students stay after school and participate in this year's event. The students worked hard during the weeks leading up to the big day to raise $3,400! Congratulations to all that participated in making last year's Jump Rope for Heart another big success. Raising money for such an important cause is truly a very wonderful thing to do and everyone who participated should be very proud of their efforts.
We look forward to raising even more money during this year's event which will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010.
