Reading Practice Homework
Date: September 2007
Your child has been working on learning to read. In class we have been
reading books and playing games.
To help your child practice new skills, I will be sending home either a game
or a book several times a week in a large envelope. I know that your
schedules are busy so I do not ask that you practice with your child every
time I send home the envelope. Please do it as often as you can.
To help me know how much practice your child is getting at home, please
initial the log sheet each time you practice with him or her. If you play a
game or read a book multiple times in one night, you can indicate that also
by using symbols (i.e. 2X means you played the game twice).
Please return the materials in the large envelope the next day, even if you
have not used them. Other children may be waiting for their turns.
Thank you in advance for your help.
