After many outstanding years teaching first grade (and a few other grades
along the way), I am now teaching Reading at Overlook along with Mrs.
Haverkamp. It is an amazing opportunity and I am so grateful to have this
chance to focus on the area about which I am truly passionate!
I want to help all of my reading students become more confident and capable
readers who are not afraid of words they may not yet know and who will easily
read the words they already do understand. My hope would be for all of the
children to enjoy reading and even choose to read in their free time rather
than turn on the television!
