YESTERDAY’S VETERAN’S DAY CEREMONY.
***THE AMS PTA WILL BE HOLDING A CLOTHING DRIVE FOR THE FALL FUNDRAISER.
USEABLE AND WEARABLE CLOTHING, PURSES & ACCESSORIES, TOWELS, BEDDING
CURTAINS, ETC CAN BE COLLECTED. PLEASE DROP OF AT THE LARGE DOOR TO THE LEFT
OF THE FRONT ENTRANCE.

***Student Gov’t meeting on Monday, Nov 16th.
LIBRARY is OPEN periods 2-7, 9. Mr. Cole/ Mrs. Rourke-Mooney period 1. Mrs.
McCaffrey period 8. The Library is OPEN after school.
COMPUTER LAB is OPEN after school.
INTRAMURALS AND CLUBS
WALKABOUT CLUB: Stay tuned for more info on the next hike.
BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS: Will be on Thursday of this week. Sign up in the Main
Office. First come, first served.
AMS MATH COUNTS: Do you like math and solving problems? Math Counts is for
you. First meeting Tuesday, Nov 10th in Room 110. See Mr. Slattery with any
questions.
FCCLA: Is CANCELLED until Nov 19th.
STUDENT GOV’T: First school dance will be Nov 20th, tickets on sale from Nov
10-Nov 18th. Price of tickets $3 or $2 with canned food item.
TECH CREW: Will meet TODAY, Nov 12th. All Crew members should attend.
ANIMAL CLUB: Will be meeting this Thursday, Nov 12th after school in Room
212. Come join us to bake doggie treats!
GARDEN CLUB: Will meet after school on Thursday, Nov 12th. Meet Mrs. Spinelli
in the Main Lobby.
SPORTS
FIELD HOCKEY : All uniforms, cages and sticks must be returned to Mrs. Dyke
with $3 for the party.
AMS MODIFIED FOOTBALL: Equipment turn-in is today. Flag Football will follow
until 3:30pm.
MUSIC
JR HIGH ALL COUNTY CHORUS WILL HAVE ITS FIRST REHEARSAL AFTER SCHOOL TODAY IN
THE PIANO LAB UNTI 3:30PM. SNACK PROVIDES. REGISTRATION FEES DUE TOMORROW,
NOV 13TH.
SCHOOL MUSICAL: Special thanks to all who auditioned. Cast is posted outside
Room 105. Everyone must attend the read through on Tuesday, Nov 17th.
CHAMBER ORCHESTRA: Will meet in the Chorus Room until 3:30pm.
JAZZ BAND: Will meet TODAY after school.

FACT OR FICTION: Diamonds are indestructible.
FICTION: The sturdy gem is definitely a hard substance to crack. Though
able to withstand high amounts of pressure, it’s not indestructible. Even the
toughest carat can be destroyed with enough pressure.
