Trout!!Trout in the Classroom As part of an integrated curriculum, which takes into account different learning styles, it is beneficial for students to be exposed to a variety of different opportunities to experience concepts on their own level. The 2008-2009 school year will be our fourth year of TIC. Thanks to grants from the Mid-hudson Teacher Center, The Arlington Education Foundation and also the Tech Valley Innovative Educator Award, we will again hit the ground running in September. As well as doing observations of the fish, learning about Trout, their habitat and life cycle, Mr. Nix and I are planning other activities which we hope will be engaging, exciting and educational for all students. Our trout are part of a program developed by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection called Trout in the Classroom. A chart that shows the different trout of New York
