GENERAL INFORMATION INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS
GENERAL INFORMATION INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS GRADES 7 AND 8 - Any student who wishes to participate in interscholastic sports must have a sports-oriented physical examination and evaluation; this exam is valid for one year. A student's initial physical for sports must be performed by the school examiner. Any subsequent sports physical done outside the school must receive prior authorization from the Health Office. Students may check the lists posted throughout the school to determine their need for a sports physical. To arrange a sports physical in school: 1. Students should pick up the Athletic Health History form at the Health Office 2. This needs to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian. 3. Return the form(s) to the Health Office by date to be determined. Physicals for SPRING SPORTS were scheduled in FEBRUARY. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse at 845-223-8600, extension 119.

MATH HELP FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AHS - 'MATH MATTERS'
As you probably remember, last year the National Honor Society students at AHS started a community service program called Math Matters. It was designed to pair high school students with middle school students and offer them extra help in math. This program will resume next Thursday, January 10th and will run every Thursday from 6-8 pm until June 5th. The only exception is April 24th and any other day we have off for snow or break. It will be held in the class room above the AHS library. MS students should bring whatever materials they need help with, pencils, and paper. This year, Caitlin Higbee will head the program. She can be reached via e-mail at AHS.MATH.MATTERS@gmail.com .
