CLASS: First Grade

About The Teacher

 I have been a kindergarten/Early intervention teacher 
at the Lagrange Elementary School.  I am looking foward to my fifth year 
teaching first grade.  Kindergarten has given me a base of knowlege of 
beginning first grade. Early intervention has given me the insight to 
early reading.  I enjoy teaching science and often will find topics which 
will allow for outdoor reasearch.  Many of my own interests have to with 
outdoor activities and I enjoy teaching children about our natural word.

For the past three years my class has been involved in the New York State 
Trout 
In The Classroom Project.  We collaborate with a fifth grade class and raise 
trout from eggs to fingerlings.  We then release our trout into the wild.

Mission For The Class

Our mission in first grade is to use our past knowlege of kindergarten 
coupled with new experiences of first grade to promote an enjoyable, 
productive class environment.  I intend to bring every lesson to life as an 
experience to be remembered.
