HAVE BINDER, WILL TRAVEL!
Absolutely NO trapperkeepers or cloth binders with velcro - they are 
too cumbersome and leave little room for anything else in our 
desks.  
Pencil cases should also be small.
Label EVERYTHING.
Keep reading and practice your basic addition, subtraction, and 
multiplication facts - you don't learn them in 5th grade - you need 
to know them already!
NO ROLLING BACKPACKS -- Keep them compact, space is limited.

1 1-1/2 inch 3-ring binder with subject dividers
1 Pocket Folder labeled "HOME"
1 Pocket/Binder pencil case
1 pair of scissors
1 set of colored pencils
2 marble notebooks
1 pack of extra notebook paper
1 gluestick
1 box of tissues
1 assignment pad or use school's
1 pocket folder labeled "LIBRARY"
3 pencils to school at a time - otherwise they are wasted!
2 pens to school at a time - otherwise they are wasted!
