About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I've been teaching at LES for 17 years. I taught first grade and second grade before I came to fifth grade. This is my 16th year teaching fifth grade. I'm married and have two daughters ages 27 and 33. My oldest daughter, Chesney Jane, is married. My youngest daughter, Courtney Page, lives in Denver, Colorado while working and going to college. I am the proud Grandmother of Caden Thomas Caswell. He was born on October 12, 2009. I like to do crafts, especially knitting and stained glass. I also like to work in the garden. I plant perennials and each year I add one or two more. This year I added three beautiful plants of lavender. I have to admit that I spend a lot of time PULLING WEEDS! My daughter, Chesney, and I often ride our bikes on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. Mr. Caswell has a bike, too. He rides a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. This summer I had the opportunity to see Paul McCartney live at Citi Field. I went with Mrs. Ramsden and Mrs. Robles. It was awesome! Paul dedicated songs to his first wife Linda, George Harrison, and John. For the song "Live and Let Die" (Paul wrote this for the James Bond 007 movie) there were fireworks and pyroworks that blew the crowds away with excitement. I bought a t-shirt to help me remember this special occasion--- although I'm sure it's one I'll never forget.
