It's a short week, but we have lots of fun things planned! Big Elf/Little
Elf continues this week, with secret gifts on Monday and Tuesday, and
Wednesday will be the big reveal day! Wednesday will also be our holiday
party in the classroom, and the school sing along in the cafeteria.
There will be no Spelling list this week, and Reading Response Letters are
not due. That doesn't mean you shouldn't still be reading though! We'll
pick right back up with these two things when we come back in January.
There are two open notebook assessments this week - the first one is on the
Nervous System, which we have been stuyding in science. The second one is
for my math class, and will cover prime and composite numbers, prime
factorization, and find the greatest common factor and greatest common
multiple of two numbers. That test will be on Tuesday.
We will wrap up our unit on Hiroshima this week, and continue to discuss the
2010 Census, as well as putting more time into our new writing stories. Don't
forget to take your writing notebooks home over the break so that you can
write down any story ideas that come to mind, or new memories you have made
with your families and friends!
