About The Teacher
Mrs. Hauptmann is a Certified School Library Media Specialist. She earned a Master of Library Science degree from SUNY Albany. She has been teaching library for 12 years at LaGrange Elementary. Both of her sons are graduates not only of LaGrange Elementary, but also Arlington High School. Mrs. Hauptmann and her husband like to travel, watch movies, eat out and ride bikes. This past year they went to South Carolina, North Carolina, Vermont, and Delaware. They can often be seen riding bikes on the local rail trails. Reading is also one of Mrs. Hauptmanns favorite pastimes. She reads many children's books as part of her job, but sometimes she likes to read adult things. Mrs. Hauptmann loves reading and researching. She thinks she found the right job because those two things are a very important part of what she does!

We want you to be able to make intelligent and informed decisions about the things that you will encounter in your path of life. We cannot teach you everything BUT we CAN teach you how to find and use the information you need when you need it. That's called Information Literacy!!!!!!
