HOMEWORK POLICY Students are required to return all unfinished class work as well as the assigned homework the following morning. Homework not completed should be recorded by the student on the board. Assignments not finished will be completed during recess. (no exceptions unless "your reputation precedes you" or teacher exemption due to family emergency. This will be decided on a case to case basis.) Better to just get your homework done. If you want to "plead your case", become a lawyer. Assignments finished before recess on the day they were due does not exempt students from losing recess. This is a non-negotiable policy. Homework often involves getting a signature from a parent. Failure to have that signature will also result in a loss of recess. HOMEWORK TEACHES STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITY. WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL BUT ONE YEAR AWAY, I OPERATE ON A VERY STRINGENT "TOUGH LOVE" POLICY. TOGETHER, I KNOW WE CAN PREPARE YOUR CHILD/MY STUDENT FOR HIS/HER FUTURE EDUCATION.
