Homework calendars will be sent home on a monthly basis, starting with
October. Most likely, the homework calendar will be stapled to the monthly
newsletter. Homework will be assigned on Monday through Thursday evenings,
with Monday's assignment being due on Tuesday, Tuesday's assignment being
due on Wednesday, etc. Please have your child put his/her name on anything
being handed in! Homework should be placed in the red box on my desk daily.
Homework: Week of 11/30
Monday - Look for "Qq" in a newspaper or magazine. Circle as many as you can
find. Good luck! Don't forget to put your name on the paper!
Tuesday - Draw a picture of a "queen". Write the word "queen".
Wednesday - Cut out or color 3 pictures of things that begin with a "q".
Thursday - Write your name on the piece of construction paper that is
attached to this homework calendar. Turn it over and decorate it any way that
you want. Bring it back to school to help make a class "quilt".

Monday - Look for "Gg" in the newspaper or magazine. Circle 5 of each. Don't
forget to put your name on the paper!
Tuesday - Draw 3 green things. Try to write the words.
Wednesday - Cut out or color 5 things that begin with "g". Try to write the
words.
Thursday - How many girls are in your family? (Don't forget to include Mom,
Grandma, aunts, and cousins if you don't have any sisters!)Write the number,
write the word "girls" and draw a picture of each of them.

Monday - Practice writing these capital letters 5 times each: A, C, E, G, H.
Tuesday - Practice writing each of these capital letters 5 times each: M, Q,
S, Y.
Wednesday - Practice writing these lower case letters 5 times each:

Thursday - Practice writing these lower case letters 5 times each: m, q, s,
y.

Monday - Draw a picture of your favorite part in one of our gingerbread
stories. Which book was your favorite?
Tuesday - Winter has started! Draw a picture of your favorite winter
activity. Try to write the sentence "I like to ..."
