Homework calendars will be sent home on a monthly basis, starting with
October. Most likely, the homework calendar will be stapled to the monthly
newsletter. Homework will be assigned on Monday through Thursday evenings,
with Monday's assignment being due on Tuesday, Tuesday's assignment being
due on Wednesday, etc. Please have your child put his/her name on anything
being handed in! Homework should be placed in the red box on my desk daily.
Homework: Week of 11/2
Monday - Look for "Ss" in a newspaper or magazine. Circle 5 of each. Don't
forget to put your name on the paper!
Tuesday - No school - enjoy the day!
Wednesday - Draw a picture of seven things you would find at a supermarket.
Try to write the words.
Thursday - Cut out or color 5 pictures of things that begin with a "s".
Homework: Week of 11/9
Monday - Trace 1 fork, 1 knife, and 1 spoon from your silverware drawer.
Count the number of forks, and write that number next to the fork. Do the
same thing for the knife and spoon.
Tuesday - Have someone at home read you a story. Draw a picture of your
favorite part. Write the title of the story.
Wednesday - No school - enjoy the day.
Thursday - Practice writing your numbers 1-10 six times. Think of those
number rhymes!

Monday - Look for "Yy" in the newspaper or magazine. Circle 5 of each. Don't
forget to write your name on the paper!
Tuesday - Color a picture of a yellow fruit. Try to write the name of it.
Wednesday - Cut out or color 3 things that begin with "y". Try to write the
words.
Thursday - Draw something to eat that you think is yummy. Draw something to
eat that you think is yucky. Try to write the words.

Monday - Draw a picture of something that you smelled today. Draw a picture
of something you saw today. Try to write the words.
Tuesday - Draw a picture of something you tasted today. Draw a picture of
something you touched today. Draw a picture of something you heard today. Try
to write the words.
