I am a NY State Certified Special Education Teacher with over 20 years of
teaching experience. I have a BS in Special Education from SUNY Geneseo and
an MS in Educational Psychology from SUNY Albany. I grew up in Broome County
New York and moved to Dutchess County 16 years ago. I have been teaching for
DC BOCES for 5 years and I am very lucky to be part of the Union Vale Middle
School Community. I live in Poughkeepsie with my husband Bill. We have three
children named Katie, Shannon and Liam. I have a dog, Pete and a cat named
Holly.
I hope that all who enter my classroom doors will see that learning can be
fun. I believe that everyone learns differently and it is my job as the
teacher to help students discover how they learn best.
