Hola Arlington! Welcome to my TeacherWeb site!
Please feel free to use this site to stay in touch with me! I 
invite you to join my efforts to increase communication between school and 
home by using TeacherWeb! Here are some helpful instructions that will be 
explained during my Open House presentation. I will update TeacherWeb on a 
weekly basis, usually over the weekend, with the previous week’s activities 
(homework completion, graded assessments, and tardiness). It is up to you 
how often you wish to log on to check your child’s progress. Also, below 
you will find some helpful hints in order to better understand the items I 
record on TeacherWeb.

At Open House you will receive a password to access the GRADES page.  If 
you ever forget your code, or would like to create a new one to access this 
information, please email me @ jroberts@acsdny.org!

Homework is expected and not accepted late! If an assigment is not 
completed when checked, it is recorded as an incomplete. Note that for 
every 2 incomplete homework assignments, 1 point is deducted from the 
quarter average. These calculations, including class participation are not 
done by TeacherWeb, and you will be notified of their mid marking period 
progress, and final quarter grade by School Progress Reports and Report 
Cards.

Quizzes = Vocabulary = Count Once
Orals = Count Once
Writing Assignments = Count Once
Tests = Grammar and Vocabulary = Count Twice
Projects = Count Twice

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS SITE IS A GUIDELINE FOR MY CLASS.  NOT ALWAYS WILL 
WE COVER ALL THE MATERIAL OR CONTINUE AT THE SAME PACE, DUE TO LEVELS OF 
UNDERSTANDING, TIME CONSTRAINTS, AND OTHER REASONS.  YOUR CHILDREN SHOULD BE 
RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING WHERE WE ARE IN THE CURRICULUM, WHAT WE'RE COVERING, 
AND WHAT THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR.  OF COURSE AT ANYTIME IF YOU
