Soon it will be time for summer reading! Letters and book lists for the
required summer book reading assignment have been sent home in June. Students
will be required in all grades to read through one book over the summer from
a list. The list has books of various reading levels and literature
categories. All students will complete a writing assignment in the first
marking period of the new school year on the book they have read. Encourage
your child to read for pleasure!
To further reinforce the idea of reading for pleasure all students in my English classes have
been issued a free comic book in June. There are many ways to encourage reading!
