About The Teacher
I have been teaching physical education at AHS since 1988. I am an avid athlete and have competed in and won many running races and triathlons. I still run but I do not compete. Other sports that I like to participate in are tennis, cycling, kayaking, skiing (both downhill and cross country), swimming, and hiking. I have 21 nieces and nephews who keep me very busy. I am a field hockey, lacrosse and basketball official. I am busy year round refereeing tournaments all around the country as well as local colleges and high schools. I love to travel and especially like going to the Alps to ski and hike. I also enjoy touring the old castles. I love sitting down with a good book when I can find the time.

I want them to be able to answer: "PE changed my life. I found activities that I waa good at, things I enjoyed doing. Teachers showed me how those activities contributed to good health, and that's still an important part of my life".
