Reading Classes
Students in all of my reading classes enjoy novels and frequently work on writing skills. We use the "Four Square" method to develop thoughts into well- planned essays.
Period 1 is practicing writing skills, using the "Four Square" method.
Period 8 is reading Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
Resource Room Here we focus on the individual needs of students, including math, reading, and writing skills. A significant amount of time is spent working on organization, academic class projects, writing assignments, and preparation for quizzes and tests.
NOTE: The PTA generously supplies each student with a daily planner for recording homework assignments and communication between parents and teachers. This is an excellent tool to help pupils to organize their work and plan for upcoming assignments and quizzes.
