What should I bring to Study Skills?

Bring your Social Studies and Science work every day. I will have the
textbooks when we need to use them. Also bring your Math or English if you
have any questions. When we are working on big projects in any of the
classes, I will ask you to bring them in.

What if I don't know how to do a homework assignment or project?

ASK!!! Look over your work BEFORE you take it home and BEFORE the day it is
due. Study Skills is a time to work on the subjects that are confusing and
difficult. I am in Room 207 during periods 1 and 7, the cafeteria during
period 4, and Room 202 during period 6. Any of those periods you can come ask
me for help. If you need more help, talk with me and we will arrange a time.

What if I was absent and missed the notes?

I will have copies of all the notes that were taken. Ask and I will give
them to you.

How do I get assignments if I miss classes?

Check your teacher's websites, e-mail me, or have a parent/guardian submit a
homework request form to guidance.

Where do I find articles for the Current Events assignments?

You can find articles in any local or national newspaper. Some of the
newspapers have copies on-line so you do not have to buy one. (See the
Social Studies section of my Links page.) I have copies of the Poughkeepsie
Journal delivered to my classroom every day. Stop by and I will let you use
one to find an article.
