 Why should I bring my Math notebook home every day?
Every student is required to take home his/her Math notebook to review the 
material that has been covered in class. In addition, all the instruction 
materials (math concepts) with step by step explanation are in the Math 
notebook. Students are to refer to their Math notebook when they work on 
their homework assignments.

 My child was granted a Homework Pass. When and how can he/she use it?
Homework Pass can be used only on the homework worksheets that are marked 
PASSABLE. If student wishes to use his/her Homework Pass on the PASSABLE HW 
assignment, he/she should fill out his/her HW Pass and attach it to the 
PASSABLE worksheet. When the child comes to school, he/she should hand in 
the 
HW Pass and the attached worksheet.

 My child was granted a Week Off Homework Pass. How she/he can use it?
The child may choose the week when she/he wants to go on "vacation" and use 
his/her Week Off HW Pass. I do encourage students to use this Pass wisely. 
For instance, they may use their Week Off HW Pass for special occasions or 
family trips.

 Do we have to write in cursive?
YES! :) At the beginning of October I request all homework and classwork 
assignments to be completed in cursive. All writing FINAL projects are to be 
completed in cursive as well. :)

 Does the spelling count during tests and quizzes ?
The spelling always counts. One spelling mistake is counted as a half of a 
point.

 What is the  best way to study for quizzes in SS, Science, & Spelling?
The best way is to go over the STUDY GUIDES/vocabulary lists that can be 
found in your SS, Science, or Spelling notebooks. If you need to 
know the terms and their definitions, you need to practice spelling of the 
vocabulary words first. Write each term at least 5 times each, until you are 
confident in writing the word without peeking into your notebook.  As for 
definitions, you just need to memorize them by heart. You can be creative 
and 
make your own Flash Cards:) Do HW assignments on time! Do not postpone your 
work until the day before the quiz or test!
