Dear Parents,
Welcome Back! I hope everyone enjoyed a fun and restful summer! I look
forward to meeting with parents and students in the coming weeks. Mrs.
Andros and I will be in the Reading Room during each of the curriculum
nights. If you have any questions or would just like to stop by to say
hello, please do.
The school year is off to a wonderful start. West Road's Language Arts
Support (LAS) program will begin on Monday, September 21st. There are some
exciting changes to the program this year. The one most noticable to our
returning students will be the fact that we have a new classroom!!! The
Reading Room is now located in Room #105 (at the end of the first floor
hallway - through the double doors). Our new classroom is spacious and very
comfortable. The room is air-conditioned and at times can feel quite
chilly. Your child may want to have a sweatshirt when visiting the Reading
Room.
On Monday, September 21st the Reading Room will hold our own Curriculum Night
at 5:30pm. Mrs. Andros and I will talk to you about the program and share
with you the types of skills your child will be working on while in the LAS
program. We hope you can attend.
