When do you stay after school for extra help?

I am afterschool on most days. Some days I am only at the school
until
3:00. If more time is needed, I just need 24 hours in advance
(most days)
and I can stay until the 3:20 bus.

How do you grade?

Every assignment is given a point value. At the end of the
marking period,
all points are added up that the student achieved and divided by
the total
possible points.

How do I get in touch with you?

The best and fastest way to get in touch with me is through
email. My email
address is srice@acsdny.org. If you want to speak with me, email
me a good
time to reach you with a phone number and I will call you back.
You can also
call the school at 486-4860 and leave me a message with the
secretary.
Please be aware that I may have already checked my mailbox and I
may not
receive the message until the next day.

Is there a club my child can join?

I am the adviser of FCCLA - Early Childhood. FCCLA stands for
Family,
Career, and Community Leaders of America. It is a national
club. At AHS
there are 3 FCCLA clubs: Early Childhood, Fashion, and Culinary
Arts. All
three clubs have competed at the state and national levels. This
past year,
the culinary arts competed nationally. They brought home first
place gold!

FCCLA Early Childhood meets in room 1116 every Thursday from
2:15 - 3:20.
See "announcements" for more information.

The scrapbook club just began. We meet in room 1116 on specific
Tuesdays.
