Power Point- Independent Reading Presentations of the most recent bookmark book are due on Thursday, June 7th.

Independent Reading Book Presentation

Assignment:

                Create an in-depth power point presentation of the independent book read for the bookmark.

Procedure:

                Identify the title, author, and genre of the novel

                Provided some background information on the author’s life and career

20           Determine if the author’s experiences has impacted the novel in some way.

 

                Identify the main characters

                Clearly identify the character traits that define each character

15           Support the identified traits with text based support

 

                Summarize the plot of the novel

                Be sure to identify and explain the setting as part of the plot

20           Exclude the resolution

 

                Select 2-3 separate passages/sentences from the novel that will be read aloud to the class

                The readings selected must represent a specific point, literary interest, or explain an aspect of the characters/plot

20           Readings must be made with expression and inflection through a loud voice

 

                Include some personal thoughts/feelings about the book

15           These thoughts must be supported with text based details

 

10           Include pictures, images, videos, and photos to support the presentation.
