How often does my child receive homework?

Homework is given out Monday through Thursday.  This is written work.  No 
written work on Friday but there is a reading book.

Is the reading calendar/log a part of their weekly homework?

Yes, they should read Monday -Thursday.  The calendar/log must be 
handed in on Friday.

How often should my child study the reading and spelling words?

The reading and spelling words should be studied daily.  It is helpful in 
building up competence and understanding.

When are the specials?

On Mondays they have music.  Tuesdays they have Library.  Wednesday and 
Fridays they have Physical Education and they need their 
sneakers in order to participate. On Thursdays, they have Art, they often 
need to have a smock, which I like to send home to be cleaned every two weeks.

If I have a concern what can I do?

You can write a note and send it in with your child and I will try to answer 
it that day or the next day.  You could also call and leave a message. I will 
try to call you that day or the next day.  You can also forward an e-mail 
message.

What if I have a question about school policy?

You can to refer to the school handbook for any questions regarding 
schoolwide matters.
