About The Teacher
I have been teaching at Bayport - Blue Point High School since 1995. I strongly believe that a language needs use outside of the classroom for it to become relevant to learners. That is why my students have the opportunity to travel to France and live with a French family or to host a French teenager here in our community! My undergraduate degree is from Stetson University located in Deland,Florida. I majored in French, and spent eight months of my junior year in Dijon, France. This was the second time I had been to France. The first time was just before I went to University. My family and I did a whirl-wind tour of Europe. Paris was the last stop. Although I had only begun my study of French in 10th grade, I found that I could communicate with the Parisians rather well. It elated me! I had wanted to teach since I was in 2nd grade, but it was my time on my own in Paris that made me decide that I wanted to teach French. I hold a Master's Degree in French from Middlebury College. Middlebury excels in language teaching, and has a unique summer residence program. Students dorm, dine and "dance" together in addition to the time they spend in class. They must sign a language pledge, which is taken very seriously.

Pour toutes mes classes, le but est d'utiliser au maximum le français que vous avez déjà appris! Nous allons apprendre d'autres temps et beaucoup plus de vocabulaire. Nous allons aussi apprendre beaucoup de détails culturels des pays francophones.
