About The Teacher
Hey Everyone! My name is Mr. LaSusa and I love teaching fifth grade! This is my 16th year teaching (2009-2010) and I truly enjoy being involved with children! I am married to a 2nd grade teacher and have 2 children of my own. My daughter is in 5th grade this year and my son is in 1st grade! In addition to teaching fifth grade, I coach the varsity tennis teams for Roy C. Ketcham High School. I have been playing tennis since I was 6 years old, played 6 years of high school tennis, and 4 years of scholarship level, collegiate tennis. I am also a HUGE Dallas Cowboys football fan! I believe that you should enjoy what you are doing, as much as possible, work hard, and never give up in order to obtain optimal results. Additionally, the ability and willingness to laugh is very important to us all and makes learning fun! My goal is to assist each student in setting and achieving high standards for both their academic and social growth, while having a blast throughout the process. When you enjoy coming to class each day, learning becomes much easier. I believe that through a combination of structure, team work, humor, and good decision making, school can be fun, productive, and every child can succeed!
