Dear Kindergarten Families,
  Welcome to Kindergarten! I am looking forward to our year 
together. This will be a fun and exciting adventure for all of us!

  As your child's teacher, I encourage you to share with me in your 
child's education. This letter is the first of many newsletters that 
I will be sending home with your child to keep you informed of what 
we are doing here at school. Together we can help your child 
succeed. In just a few short weeks we will be in the classroom 
busily working! Below is a list of supplies that your child will 
need to have for the first day of school.

1 backpack (large enough to fit a folder and a library book)
1 box of crayons- 8 Crayola large crayons
3 boxes of crayons- small size, 16 colors *buy a box to keep at home 
also
8 large glue sticks *buy 2 extra for home
5 plain yellow sharpened pencils (please no decorative pencils)
1 pocket folder (for bringing notes and work to and from school)
1 container of anti-bacterial wipes or baby wipes

Morning Students: 1 pair of Fiskar brand scissors
                  1 package of tissues

Afternoon Students: 1 package of large zip lock bags
                    1 dry erase marker (expo brand preferred)

Please do not label materials (except for the backpack and folder)! 
All materials will be shared within our classroom. In kindergarten 
learning to share is an important social skill.
