Flip Cards
Students each have a card pocket with 4 colored index cards. Student behavior determines which color card is displayed. Card colors are recorded at the end of the day and each morning the cards are returned to green.
Green: excellent behavior Yellow: Warning that behavior is becoming inappropriate and unacceptable
Red: Repeated inappropriate behavior and ignores teacher redirection. Student loses some recess time.
Purple: Dangerous or continued inappropriate behavior. Parent contacted and recess time lost.
The record chart will be checked every 2 weeks and rewards will be given to those students with all green cards and those with less than 5 yellow cards.
Marbles
A marble is earned when the class as a whole is demonstrated excellent behavior for an extended period of time during the day. When 25 marbles are earned, we will have a class celebration.
