This will be my 12th year as a teacher. I received my degree in Elementary
Education (Pre K-6), as well as a Masters degree in Special Education from
SUNY New Paltz. All of my teaching experience has been with the primary
level. I taught second grade for 2 years at St. Martin de Porres in
Poughkeepsie, and first grade for 2 years at Wingdale Elementary in Dover.
Then I came to Brinckerhoff Elementary where I have been teaching first
grade for the past 8 years. I enjoy listening to music, drawing and
painting, sports (BIG Dallas Cowboys fan) and spending time with my wife
Nicole (Mrs. D), our 6 year old son Nicholas (who starts First Grade this
year), and our 1 year old son Joshua. We also have a lovable Cocker Spaniel
named Daphne (who turned 10 this year).
Teaching is a rewarding profession, and I am looking forward to a wonderful
year together and learning many new things in first grade!
