What is the grading policy in my childs 12th grade Marketing /Finance. class?

The grade is an average of the scores he or she earned on all 
test's/quizzes, home work assignments,(homework assignments count as an exam 
grade) & projects during the quarter. (IN OTHER WORDS EVERYTHING COUNTS: 
WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!- A TEST OR QUIZZ IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN A 
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT OR PROJECT EVERYTHING CARRIES THE SAME WEIGHT-the grade 
is a reflection and % of the students total work & effort each quarter.)
The student is well aware of all of the due dates & exam dates.
For example:
In quarter if a student takes 4 exams & has 4 homework assignments, all the 
scores will be added up & divided by 8 for a final Grade Point Average %. If 
a homework assignment is not handed in the student will earn a ZERO for a 
test grade.
