Task

You will pick one of the roles below for your Westward Expansion 
project:

Role 1: An explorer with Lewis and Clark
Role 2: A pioneer
Role 3: A prospector in the California Gold Rush

For a brief description of each role, click on the links at the top of the 
page.  

To show what you have learned, you will produce one of the projects 
listed below:

1. A newspaper, either hand written, or using the computer
or
2. A timeline and slide show using the Timeliner software
or
3. A daily journal 

In addition, each student must:

1. Make a map of their route
and
2. Create a list of items to take on the journey
