What is passing in your class?
Passing is a 70. Anything lower is failing.
What about if I get a 68?
A 68 is not a 70. You did not pass.
How much do homeworks REALLY matter?
Homeworks are 20% of your average each quarter. Having a 100% in
Tests,
Quizzes, and Class Participation, but a 0 in Homeworks, means you
have an 80
for the quarter*
*an 80 would be the BEST you could get. Don't rely on Tests or
Quizzes alone
as a means to pass!*
Do you ever assign extra credit?
Yes. Extra Credit gets assigned typically during Christmas recess
and Easter
recess. There is a possibility one might be assigned during
Winter recess.
Is there tutoring for your class?
Yes. Although I am not the tutor, you can go to free tutoring in
the school
library Monday thru Thursday by the NHS students.
What are your favorite teams?
the '86 Mets, '91 Giants, '79-'83 Islanders, late 90's Red Wings,
early 90's Blackhawks, 91'-'92 Penguins,
late 90's Avalanche, and most recently the Blackhawks & Bruins
have signed some great young players like Kane, Toews, Kessel,
Wheeler, etc. Both teams will be solid for the next 5+yrs.
What are your current favorite teams?
Mets, NY Giants, Chicago Blackhawks & Boston Bruins
Who are your least favorite teams?
Yankees, Rangers, any NBA team but the Celtics, and the '04-
Present Islanders.
Why do you not like the Islanders? Aren't you an Islander fan?
Yes I am an Islander fan. Up until signing John Tavares, they
have spent roughly the last 15yrs singing guys and then dumping
them. Roberto Luongo, Todd Bertuzzi, and Olli Jokinen to name a
few. We will see how great they will be this year (whether or not
the Lighthouse project gets approved)
So...back to Math. Are there any good math websites?
