| Things are getting restless here in the
colonies and King George is at it again,trying to tax the tea of all things!
It is difficult to communicate between the colonies because there are no
computers, phones or television broadcasts. We have to rely on newspapers to
get the latest information to all the patriots and gather support for our
cause. The paper is important in bringing people together, sharing ideas and
documenting the daily lives of the colonists. You, as the creator of a colonial
newspaper will publish a paper that will give a glimpse into what life is
really like during these exciting days.
Your class will break into groups to cover all sections of the
paper: news, lifestyles, classifieds, editorial and sports.
You may be a reporter, graphic designer or layout specialist.
Your group will work with the entire class to create a historically
accurate newspaper that will be displayed during colonial day in your
classroom.
